Unofficially Microsoft extended the lifetime of Windows 7 for one more update

It is know that Microsoft has ended the support for windows 7 officially from Jan 14 of this year, but the number of users who are still using windows 7 on their computers are high, this includes some companies as well, the comfort and ease of use in windows 7 is not letting some users to update to the latest Windows OS.

Many government PCs in Germany are still running on Windows 7 which made German government to pay nearly one million euros to Microsoft to receive security updates even after the end of Windows 7.

Even though the users of windows 7 are not supposed to get security updates from Microsoft unless they pay extra fee under Extended Security Updates program, Microsoft will roll out another last update for Windows 7 OS, Microsoft is doing this because after the last update for Windows 7 is rolled out Microsoft found a bug in the operating system.

However, this bug is not related to security, it was a minor bug which causes the desktop wallpaper to turn black when set to stretch, it seems to work fine if the wallpaper was set to fill, tile or fit.

Microsoft reveals that “After installing KB4534310, your desktop wallpaper might display as black when set to Stretch,” at first Microsoft decided to fix this bug under the ESU program which means current Windows 7 users has to pay extra fee just to fix this bug on their operating system, Microsoft anyway, later changed it's decision and will release the update to all users.

Windows 10 is the final version of Windows OS, Microsoft will make changes to Windows 10 once every six months to keep the Operating system up-to-date.
