For a Google user who uses no more than two phones, it wouldn't be a problem with the previous limitation that assistant has with the ability to find only two of your last used phones when requested to find your lost phone, that limitation aside, another bummer is that sometimes the Assistant cannot clearly confirm which phone you last used, but with the new update, that changes, reported by Android Police.

Previously, Assistant is only capable of finding two of your last used phones but now Google increased the limit to nine phones, with this new update, when you ask Google Assistant to find your phone it will ask whether to ring your last used phone and when you say no it will read out the list of five phones and when you say no again it will read out the remaining three phones and that is the max limit.

Everyone using their Assistant in the US English language will first get this new update, Find My Device is an important feature that is integrated into the Assistant because of the integration, any smart speaker or smart display device will be able to find your lost phone. Besides the users who lost their phone, users who placed and forget their phones at some places in their homes will use this feature the most.

However, as Android Police notes there are still some flaws in Find My Device feature in Assistant, firstly, unless you rename your phone, the Assistant will show the series model no. of the phone which will make it hard for you to find it quickly in the list of all your various phones, secondly, Assistant will receive requests like "Find my Pixel 4" the same as a "find my phone" request.

If Google can make the Assistant respond to requests like "Find my Pixel 4," it will cut out a lot of hassle in the process of finding your lost phone using Assistant.
