A shortcut created by a Reddit user back in 2018 was resurfaced again amid the protests going on in the US regarding the death of George Floyd. If this shortcut is enabled on the iPhone, you can say "Siri, I'm getting pulled over" and then a number of actions will be taken like, turning on DND, pausing all the media playback, and sending a message and user's location to the chosen contact.

This shortcut will reduce the volume and brightness of the device and will start recording the video of the interaction with the police through the selfie camera and the video will be sent to the chosen contact after the user stops the recording, one can also choose to upload the video to the cloud whether iCloud or Dropbox.

The volume, brightness and Do Not Disturb mode will return to normal once the task is over. Petersen, the creator of this shortcut said to USA Today in 2018 during the initial days of releasing this shortcut that he’d read news articles and seen T.V. reports where the statements of the citizens and the Police are different.

He also noted that Police may not have body cams all the time on them and sometimes the videos aren't quickly released. He continued to say that "My only goal with the Police shortcut is trying to help people stay safe and honest, 99.999% of the time you’ll never need it, but if you end up in a situation where it ended up being a good idea, you’ll be thankful you did."
