As the protests increase following the death of Goerge Floyd, there are some rioters and looters who are taking advantage of the situation and looting the shops around the country but Apple is not taking this lightly, they will track all the stolen iPhones and warns the looters that local authorities will arrive at their doorstep, reported by Forbes.

Many businesses have faced some loss because of the riots and looters who took advantage of the situation going on in the US, among them Apple is one of the worst-hit by the looters who grabbed the costly iPhones, many showrooms were robbed and some even damaged by the rioters and Apple took the precautionary measure.

Apple has closed most of its showrooms across the country for the safety of its customers and employees, the stolen iPhones were not working and showing the message "This device has been disabled and is being tracked, Local authorities will be alerted."

Tim Cook has released a memo to his employees regarding Goerge Fyold's death, saying that "At Apple, our mission has and always will be to create technology that empowers people to change the world for the better. We’ve always drawn strength from our diversity, welcomed people from every walk of life to our stores around the world, and strived to build an Apple that is inclusive of everyone."

He continued to say that "But together, we must do more. Today, Apple is making donations to a number of groups, including the Equal Justice Initiative, a non-profit committed to challenging racial injustice, ending mass incarceration, and protecting the human rights of the most vulnerable people in American society"

Forbes noted that this may not result in people returning the stolen iPhones, their article reads "It is unlikely any of those devices will be returned to stores as requested, but that’s not the point. They may be stripped for parts. More likely, they will be quickly dumped over fears there is some form of tracking in place. This is Apple after all."
