Lately Google, Xiaomi, Vivo and now Samsung are bringing their own version of Airdrop.
The Airdrop feature in iPhone was very popular and useful to it's users and it's one of the features that's sticks users to the Apple's ecosystem, with Airdrop you can send Files, photos, videos to your friends or other users when they are near you with ease.

For a long time this type of easy file sharing feature has being absent in devices that run on Android but Chinese smartphone manufacturers Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi worked together to come up with a cross-brand file sharing application similar to Airdrop.
Without the built-in file sharing system, Android users have to rely on third party file sharing apps like Share It and Share Me which don't completely fulfill the purpose and some of these third party file sharing apps contain a lot of annoying ads.
Recently we've come know that Google is also working on a service similar to Airdrop which is called Nearby Sharing which will have the same functionality as Airdrop and Samsung's new Quick Share.
XDA developers tried the Quick Share app on their Galaxy phones which they've got access through a Source which has the latest and unreleased Samsung Galaxy S20+, so the new Quick Share feature may come with the New Samsung Galaxy line up which are scheduled to release on Fed 11th.
There are two options for you to choose when sharing, first one is 'Contacts only' option which means you can only share something on your phone with people who are in your contacts and the other option is 'Everyone' which means you can share your files with anyone who has Quick Share feature in their Galaxy phone.
Along with the plain Sharing files option, Quick Share will let you upload your files to Samsung Cloud and later stream those files on Samsung Smart Things devices but you are restricted only upload a file which is no more than 1 GB and you will be limited to upload only 2 GB per day.
Samsung can enable this feature on older Galaxy devices through a software update.
