These types of stories will surface rarely but when they do, they're quite interesting to hear. A family went to Disney World for a week in October last year, the family includes parents Lisa and Jacob Troyer and their daughter Sophie, during the final day of their trip, they decided to visit the Magic Kingdom to attend Mickey Mouse's Halloween Party.

When they're waiting for a ferryboat to leave the park, Lisa's brand new iPhone 11 dropped out of her bag and drowned into the Seven Seas Lagoon, a small water body in front of Magic Kingdom, the saddest part here is not losing the new iPhone but all the memorable photos they took during their vacation.

Especially their daughter's favorite pictures that she took with Jack Skellington, Lisa said this about the incident "I was upset to have lost my phone, and the pictures I had taken that evening of Disney's Halloween party, which had been the main event for our trip, Our six-year-old daughter was particularly devastated, as pictures of her and Jack Skellington would never materialize, instead, they sat at the bottom of a lagoon."

An Employee at Disney world told Lisa about the team of scuba divers who retrieved lost items before at Disney World, Lisa gave her contact details to the employee, as her hopes of getting back that lost iPhone was low, she bought a new iPhone and the family moved on with their life, almost two months after the incident, Lisa received some missed calls from the Orlando area.

But she ignored them thinking that they're from a telemarketer, later a call came from her father-in-law, who informed her that Disney had found her lost iPhone, Lisa said: "I was able to retrieve all of the pictures from our Disney Halloween night, and besides some sand in my case and a little algae on the cover, the phone seems no worse for the wear."

Awe-struck with iPhone working all fine even after spending some time underwater, Lisa wrote her full experience to Tim Cook through an E-mail. Her husband Jacob Troyer shared this story with MacRumors. This story stood as a testament to the iPhone 11's water-resistant capabilities.
