Starting from today Instagram is going to let some of it's users to use it's chat features which are currently only available in it's app version of Instagram, the process of allowing users to message each other on Instagram on the web version of the Instagram is in testing phase, that's why Instagram will only give access to few users first to use and test the feature before it will be released to the public.

Instagram is a Facebook owned company and rest of the Facebook owned social media apps like WhatsApp and Facebook will let users message through the web platform as well as in it's app and it will come in handy to the users since they can message anyone anywhere without any restrictions.

There are many users who mainly do their work or do their Internet based activities like Watching Videos, using social media and shopping online on computers or Mac, these users rarely use their phones, so giving access to chat with others directly from the web will make these users work easy since they don't have to check their phones every time for the Instagram messages.

Many companies have being letting their users to use their app features on cross platforms so that they can capture audiences from all platforms. Instagram will now let their users do the same when the Instagram direct messages are available on both their app and on thier web platform.

You can enable the notifications of Instagram on your browser so that you can know when you receive a message or a reply, Instagram has being found testing this feature last year on February by a code hacker Jane Manchun Wong and the company has tested it again in October last year after changing the options.
Facebook has been planing to let the users from all three of it's Social media apps like WhatsApp, Facebook and  Instagram to message one another irrespective of the apps they use, we don't know when Direct Messaging on Instagram will be available for all on Web version of the Instagram but I'm sure many are looking for ward for it.
