AMD announces price and release dates for its new third generation processors.

AMD announced the release date and price tags for its new third-generation processors, AMD announced two new processors Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3 3300X which will be available form May 21, 2020, and will cost $99 and $120 respectively. AMD promises twice the multitasking capabilities over the previous generations with four cores and eight-thread.

Along with the processors AMD also announced new chipsets that will bring PCIe 4.0 to the mainstream motherboards for the first time, the new B550 chipset will unlock twice the bandwidth for high-speed, high-power performance in gaming and multitasking than the previous B450 chipset and motherboard.

AMD says that B550 chipsets are expected to be available form June 16, 2020. AMD promises up to 20% gaming performance and up to 75% creative performance than the competition.

Both new processors will have four cores and eight threads, 18 MB  of cache and will support AM4 sockets, but boost and base frequencies differ in these two processors, Ryzen 3 3100 will have a base frequency of 3.6 and 3.9 when boosted and Ryzen 3 3300X will have a base frequency of 3.8 and a boost frequency of 4.3, both will have “Zen 2” core architecture.

With the addition of these new Ryzen 3 desktop processors we are continuing this commitment with our mainstream gaming customers. We’ve taken performance up a level, doubling the processing threads of our Ryzen 3 processors to propel gaming and multitasking experiences to new heights."
