HP teased a new VR headset on its website and on its Twitter handle, which HP claims will deliver a more immersive, comfortable and compatible experience than its previous generation VR headset. Reverb is the first VR headset that was made by HP which was also made in collaboration with Steam and Microsoft.
HP says that their new VR headset is the new benchmark for VR headsets which means it may have a higher price but will also have top class specs, however, nothing but claims were announced by HP so far, there are no details on specs, release date and on price. But HP released a little sneak peek of their new VR headset on its Twitter handle.
On Twitter, HP says "Developers, architects, and #VR users - this one’s for you," but we can say that it will also be targeted on gamers too, the first-generation VR headset by HP, Reverb is known for its high resolution of 2160 x 2160 pixels per eye. The design of the new HP Reverb G2 is slightly different from the previous Reverb Pro edition.
This may come out later in the year, maybe during the third quarter of 2020, if everything goes according to the plan of HP and the production won't be interrupted because of the Covid-19 pandemic, other than that we'll have to wait for some more time as HP releases new details one by one.
