Twitter will continue the trend of working from even after the pandemic is over and the lockdowns are lifted, reported by Buzzfeed News. Twitter CEO Jack has emailed employees about the new company policy of letting employees work from home, however, not all employees will work from home, any employee whose physical presence is needed at the spot will have to come to the office which will mainly be maintenance work.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has said that the idea of working from home is in their minds way before the Pandemic has hit but the lockdown has forced the implementation of this idea sooner, so they will continue to follow the work from home model.

A spokesperson from Twitter told BuzzFeed that "We've been very thoughtful in how we've approached this from the time we were one of the first companies to move to a work-from-home model, we'll continue to be, and we'll continue to put the safety of our people and communities first."

Twitter started to let employees work from home from early March as the threat of coronavirus has increased at rapid speed, along with Twitter many other tech companies like Amazon, Apple, and Google have also told their employees to work from home.

Jack Dorsey further said in the e-mail that they will unlikely open the offices until September and also predicted that Bussiness travel may also be banned until then with little exceptions, he continued to say that all in-person events will be canceled until the end of the year and they will reaccess their plans for 2021 by the end of the year.

In March, Twitter human resources head Jennifer Christie told BuzzFeed that "the company would never probably be the same in the structure of its work. People who were reticent to work remotely will find that they really thrive that way, managers who didn’t think they could manage teams that were remote will have a different perspective. I do think we won’t go back."

Twitter Ceo Jack also said that they have increased their employees' allowance for work from home supplies to $1,000. Working from home can be the new norm in the post-COVID 19 world as some companies may find it more efficient and safe for their employees.
