Apple will not hold the March event that was supposed to reveal iPhone SE 2, The main reason for the cancellation of the event is because of the orders from Santa Clara County Public Health Department that restricts mass gatherings that contain 1000 or more people. Apple March event was supposed to happen in California at the Steve Jobs theater but there has been a rise in coronavirus cases in California.

Another reason that led to the cancellation of the event is the slow progress in the production of new iPhones, which includes iPhone SE 2, Apple's plans to mass-produce iPhone SE 2 were disrupted due to the outbreak of coronavirus, Foxconn is the company that produces most of the Apple products but since it was located in China, it was affected by the outbreak and its employees have majorly stayed at home until they were asked to come back to work.

However, this delay in the production of iPhone SE 2 didn't seem to affect the happening of the March event until now, the event was rumored to happen in the last week of March but Apple didn't send any invitations of the event. A source told Cult of Mac that Apple decides to call off the event after the constant delays in the production of iPhone SE 2.

The source also told that the Apple executives have voiced their concerns about being unable to contain the spread of the virus where several attendees will sit next to each other. Although the Santa Clara County order was the main reason for the cancellation, other factors have also led to the cancellation, according to the source.

One of them being, the "delays in producing two of the primary products,"  and not having those new devices ready to sell worldwide soon after the event. But the source didn't reveal much information about those two primary products. Apple has planned the schedule for the release of new products that were delayed but those plans may be change any time.
