After the release of Poco F1, we didn't see another phone under the POCO brand.
After the successful launch of the Pocophone F1 under it's sub brand POCO, Xiaomi for some reason did not release any successor to the Pocophone F1, now two years after the release of the popular flagship killer, Poco will now be a separate brand of its own.
Poco phone F1 when it released back in 2018 has attracted the interest of smartphone users and tech reviewers alike where people thought that it is nearly a perfect flagship killer offering at a price ranging of $300 and offering specs like Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM, 4000mah battery and a 6 inch screen with a full HD resolution.
But after the successful launch of the first flagship killer from Xiaomi's sub brand POCO, we didn't see any other smartphone released from POCO and now in 2020, Manu Kumar Jain the VP of Xiaomi shared on twitter that POCO from now on will be an independent brand, which means POCO will now operate on its own.
POCO's main market will be India, since Xiaomi's smartphones have always being the best selling smartphones in India. Pocophone F1 also became No.1 smartphone sold Online in India in it's launched price range when it released in the market.

Although no smartphone was released under the POCO brand after the release of Pocophone F1, Xiaomi still released successful smartphones at similar price range like Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. we don't know how the now independent brand POCO will share the resources with Xiaomi.Excited to share: #POCO will now be an independent brand!— Manu Kumar Jain (@manukumarjain) January 17, 2020
What started as a sub-brand within Xiaomi, has grown into its own identity. POCO F1 was an incredibly popular phone. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own.
Join me in wishing @IndiaPOCO all the best.
