The latest version of Firefox Android browser jumps directly from v67 to v79 which means that Firefox users are going to get a completely new experience from the new version of the Firefox on Android, however, this new update is not completely rolled out yet.
Users in only a few select countries will receive the update and it will be gradually rolled to the rest of the world, however, there is always an option to install the new version of the browser from a third party website if it's not available in your country yet.
With the new redesign, the Firefox Android browser will get a new modern look, the address bar is now moved to the bottom of the browser to make it easy for users who use the bigger 6" phones. But a downside of this update for some users is that the extension support is reduced to fewer extensions, developers will have to update the existing extensions to make them work efficiently and smoothly with v79.
The other changes made to the browser are given in the official changelog and they include
- New Tabs Tray
- Perform voice searches from the address bar.
- Icon now shows up in the address bar when Reader mode is available.
- More add-on support
- Enhanced Tracking Protection is set to Strict by default.
- You can now sort your logins by name or last-used date.
