Popular and reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that Apple is planning to remove both EarPods and Charger from the new iPhone boxes, these two components are very common in every iPhone package that was shipped to the customers but that may change from this year, Apple may only ship an iPhone if you buy an iPhone, reported by 9to5 Mac.

Ming-Chu Kao says that this decision is made because Apple wants to price the iPhone 12 closely to iPhone 11, but that may not be possible as Apple will have install 5G components in the new iPhone models, there is no 5G phone released from the company yet. We've seen a trend of Apple reducing the prices of its main products recently.

This is to attract more users and to prompt current users to upgrade to the next new iPhone, but a 5G phone will cost a lot in manufacturing, that's why we've seen many smartphone companies sell a 5G model separately from their flagship lineup, However, Apple will still include a fast charger in the new iPads.

Ming-Chi Kuo says that the new 10.8-inch model which he believes will come out his year will include a new 20W charger in the packaging, he also says that the 8.5-inch iPad which will come out in first half of 2021 will also include a charger. The removal of 5W and 18W chargers from the package boxes will also favor the sales of new 20W chargers.

Removing these two components from the packaging will also help Apple to reduce shipping costs as it ships more packages at a time as the size of the packaging is reduced, some consider that this will also be better for the environment.

Removing Earbuds from the packaging is fine and it may be the company's strategy or choice to increase Airpod's sales, but a charger is a basic and necessary accessory that is shipped along with every smartphone. If you reduce the price of the iPhone and people have to buy a charger separately for an additional cost, that will make no difference from buying a slightly more priced iPhone. Not everyone will have a pile of fast chargers laying in their home.
