On May 14 popular and reputable leaker Ming-Chu-Ko has said that the new AR glasses from Apple will be launched in 2022 and the next day Jon Presser took to Twitter to say that "I can’t believe I’m going against Kuo on this one... but I believe he’s wrong. Apple Glasses are aimed for March-June 2021."
It seems that Apple will release the AR glasses in 2021 but they only be available for shipping in 2022, there are reasons for taking a year gap in launching and shipping it to the customers because this will give time for developers to develop apps that will work with the new AR glasses.

Along with the new AR glasses, Apple may also release augmented reality headset which was also rumored to come from the company, MacRumors says that AR headset will release earlier than the AR glasses in 2021, Apple acquired the virtual reality company NextVR recently mainly to aid their development of AR technology and devices with the help of NextVR's existing and patented technologies.
Jon Prosser said that he will show a glimpse of the AR glasses soon and said that he has seen the new AR glasses and they are "sleek as hell," we'll have to wait until we see them and we'll report when the images of the new AR glasses are published, so stay tuned to Simpl Tecc.
