Huawei is continuing to make its own version of everything a modern smartphone need after Google services are banned from using in latest Huawei devices, Huawei started making their own services and apps for their customers, this included making their own app store called App Gallery.
Even if Google services can be used in Huawei devices in the future, Huawei is not taking a chance and is preparing themselves if something similar to US ban happens in the future again, this leads them to build their own eco-system of apps and services, and along with the latest launch of P40 series, Huawei introduced its own voice assistant, reported by Engadget.
The new voice assistant from Huawei is called as Celia, Huawei first talked about Celia last year where they said that Celia is a global version of their existing assistant in China "Xiaoyi," Xiaoyi is only worked in the Chinese language, but now Huawei made a predecessor to the Chinese only speaking voice assistant.
Initially, Celia can only respond to queries made in English, French and Spanish languages and can perform normal tasks like weather updates, texts and phone call requests as it is still in the initial stage since voice assistants are AI-based they will need some time to improve, Huawei is almost done making their own ecosystem of apps for its users.
