Facebook has been trying to bring the dark mode to its platform for quite some time now since dark mode has gained some traction among the tech users, every major and small tech company has started offering it's users the option to switch to dark mode in their app or on their smartphone, reported by Tech Crunch.

Facebook initially rolled out the dark mode for select users in the Facebook lite app earlier this year, and now the dark mode has come to the desktop version, dark mode is not the only change that most Facebook users will witness from today, a brand new design which Facebook has announced last year and tested on few users will also be in use from today.

Last year during the F8 conference, Facebook talked about the dark mode and the new design, which Facebook started testing from last October on few desktop users who gave good feedback to Facebook, as the new design received good impressions from the users, Facebook starting rolling out the new design from today.

However, this is not a public release, but most of the users will have the option to switch to the new design and dark mode. As the testing phase is almost completed, Facebook can release the new Facebook to the majority of the users without hesitation. Chances are you might be able to try out new design right now.

To try out the new Facebook design, select 'See New Facebook' from the settings menu, to switch back to the classic design click 'Switch to Classic Facebook,' you can switch to the dark mode from settings drop-down menu. Head to Facebook.com to check out whether you have the option to switch to the new design.
