Dark mode became popular lately for some obvious reasons, first, it will be less tiring on eyes and saves battery on LED screen devices, Many popular apps and device OEMs adopted dark mode for their apps and smartphones, however, the version of dark mode may differ from app to app, some apps will switch to a gray background when the dark mode is toggled and some apps will completely pick a true dark background, which is recommended for LED screens.
One popular app that still doesn't see the face of the dark mode is Facebook, even though other apps owned by Facebook like Instagram and WhatsApp received the dark mode feature already, now the wait is over for Facebook users, at least for those of who use the lite version of the Facebook.
Facebook lite received an update which enabled the dark mode feature in the app, you can opt for dark mode in the settings menu, although the update is not a public release, it's just a server-side rollout which means only a select few will receive the update, others will have to wait until Facebook decides to release it to the public.
The dark mode enables a gray background in the app, Facebook should've been testing the feature before it was ready to appear in the main app, we may see dark mode come to the main app of Facebook by mid-2020(just a speculation), I've been waiting for dark mode in Facebook, it's not like I use Facebook often but it's like the only app on my phone that doesn't have a dark mode and it feels odd to me.
