CES is almost over and we all know that CES is home for awesome and cool tech and tech that we'll never be able to see again, CES 2020 is nothing sort of an another awesome show which showed awesome tech like 8K TVs, Concept technology, electric cars, Artificial Intelligence, and the list goes on and on about the tech showcased at the arguably one of the best tech shows every year.
And this year of all the tech which we've seen(probably we've missed a lot because it's almost impossible to track every tech that's showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show) here are my pics of which I think stood out as the top 5 tech from CES 2020.
Samsung Ballie

Image: Samsung |
Ballie is an AI based tiny ball shaped robot, which will act like your tiny companion which will be capable of doing things like opening curtains when you wake up, observe your surroundings, it will find you and will follow you and it has cameras which will help Ballie to recognize you and your actions and Ballie will take actions according to them, it will follow your commands.
It will work with your internet connected home devices like air purifiers, TVs, room cleaners etc. and will be able to make them perform particular tasks, It is an good tech from Samsung but nothing much was revealed about Ballie and it will not be sold now and Samsung didn't announced any date of release or price of this AI robot.
OnePlus Concept One

The concept phone showcased by OnePlus will have one major feature which is it's ability to hide the rear cameras when they are not in use which will be very helpful to hide the ever growing amount of rear cameras in smart phones.
OnePlus collaborated with McLaren to install electro chromatic tinting glass which is available in McLaren cars where the car's electro chromatic tinting glass will be able to block the light from coming into the car and thus making the top window opaque, although the rear cameras will still be slightly visible if you look closely.
Other than that their are no other major features in this concept phones, it's best to say that the manufactures majorly focused on this feature as it took more than one year to achieve this tech in a small device like a phone. we are unclear when we will see this feature in a OnePlus device.
Vision-S from Sony

Image: Sony |
After last year's somewhat minimal showcase of tech from Sony at CES 2019 where the company mostly based it's presentation on the company's entertainment sector like about the Movies and Music produced by the Company. But this year Sony surprised every one by bringing out an electric car onto the stage.
Vision-S is the name given to the electric car, if the company wants to sell the car to the customers it would be a pretty good competition in the electric cars market because it has all the features of an good electric car, it has quad motors, it will reach 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.8 s and can reach 149 mph (240 km/h). But the company won't be selling the car any time soon and we have no idea when Sony will decide to sell it.
The car was made in keeping three things in mind Safety, Entertainment and Adaptability, the car has 33 sensors which will give the car the ability to have a 360 degree view on the road and the car will have an panorama display at the front and 360 degree reality audio for entertainment purposes, you can read about what Sony has showcased at CES 2020 here.
Foldables
2019 has been a bad year for Foldable devices but it has also being a breakthrough year for foldable tech, we've seen many companies come up with their own version of foldable devices with Samsung being the most successful one even though the early reviews units of Samsung Galaxy Fold were called back because of the damage done to the screen due to the delicate screen protector on the screen which was later fixed and we've also seen some fails like Royole FlexPai.
We've also seen different versions of foldables like Motorola Razr, Microsoft's Surface Neo and Surface Duo which will come out this year, with the raise in foldable trend, quiet a number of foldable devices have being showcased at CES 2020.
Intel Horseshoe bend
Intel doesn't manufacture PCs or Laptops and this one is more like a reference device, the foldable device will have a 17" display, if you bend it you can use it as a laptop with virtual keyboard and obviously this won't be sold in the market

Dell Ori |
Dell showcased two folding devices at CES and both of them are concept devices, first one is a Dell Concept Ori with a 13.4" folding OLED and another one is Concept Duet which as the name suggests has two screens divided with a tiny hinge in the middle, the screens are 13.3" each and will operate on Windows 10X OS which was tailor made for folding PCs.
TCL's Foldable tablet

Last year TCL said it was working on a foldable device at a price point of $1000, last year it released a foldable tablet which was not sold and this year it improved it and showed a 7' foldable tablet at CES with a rear quad camera setup and this is also is just a prototype.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold

The only foldable device which will shipped to customers in this list is Lenovo ThinkPad X1, it has a 13" screen and will be folded in half which creates a gap in between which can be filled by the wireless keyboard which will be automatically charged by the device when it was in the middle, it will have 8GB of RAM and 1TB of storage and an Intel processor, will be sold for $2499 at Mid 2020.
One thing that was missing from these folding devices is Windows 10X, without it we have to face glitches in these devices, foldable PCs need Windows 10X ASAP.

TVs take a center stage at CES every year, last year for the first time TV manufacturers has introduced 8K TVs and the trend continued at this year's CES, companies like Sony, Samsung and LG have introduced their next lineup of 8K TVs. Although there's not much 8K content out there but that's not stopping TV manufacturers from manufacturing and selling 8K TVs.
