Atari-themed hotels to be build in eights states of United States.

These Hotels will have E-sport studios and Atari gaming playground.

Atari has granted licence to Arizona, US, based real estate developer True North Studio and GSD Group to build Atari-theme based hotels around United States, Atari announced in a statement. Atari is a company that "develops and distributes interactive entertainment for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo game consoles" besides it's other projects.

These hotels will be build/designed by True North Studio and GSD Group, the first hotel will build in Arizona and will start construction in 2020. According to the deal made between these companies, Atari will retain rights to build similar hotels in US and also around the world.

A total of eight hotels will be build in US as per the deal and they will be built in the following cities,  Arizona, Austin, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. The first building will be build close to the first “Woz U” university campus,
created in 2017 in Phoenix, AZ by Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple.

The Atari-themed hotels will focus on video game universe, along with the common things like Swimming pools, Bars, Restaurants, Movie theater and gym we see in luxury hotels, Atari-themed hotels features E-sport studio for E-sport events, Atari gaming playground which  targets gaming enthusiasts, Atari-themed hotels targets family or business travelers.

According to the deal Atari received an non-refundable advance of $600,000 at the time of signing and will receive five percent of the revenue generated from these hotels, hotel design will be led by Shelly Murphy’s GSD Group and Napoleon Smith III(producer of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise reboot). True North Studio will develop the first hotel.

The CEO of Atari, Fred Chesnais said:

Together we’ll build a space that will be much more than just a place to stay," he said  "Atari is an iconic global brand that resonates with people of all ages, countries, cultures and ethnic backgrounds and we cannot wait for our fans and their families to enjoy this new hotel concept."
