Motorola finally released it's folding phone Motorola Razr, but soon after the release concerns about the hinge of Motorola Razr were raising, CNET tested the folding device with a machine called FoldBot from the company SquareTrade, in which test, Motorola Razr found difficult to fold after 27,000 folds.

But it was just one side of the story because the host of CNET Chris Parker himself said that maybe the testing machine is not calibrated properly to fold Motorola Razr, Questioning the capability CNET's test machine Motorola released a video showing the proper testing of Motorola Razr with the video titled "The real razr flip test," taking a jab at CNET's test.

This is not the only concern raised against the hinge mechanism in Motorola Razr, some users noticed weird sounds when folding and unfolding the Motorola Razr.

Motorola said in a statement given to verge,
SquareTrade’s FoldBot is simply not designed to test our device. Therefore, any tests run utilizing this machine will put undue stress on the hinge and not allow the phone to open and close as intended, making the test inaccurate. The important thing to remember is that razr underwent extensive cycle endurance testing during product development, and CNET’s test is not indicative of what consumers will experience when using razr in the real-world. We have every confidence in the durability of razr.
We can't jump to conclusion that Motorola Razr hinge is a failure because the phone was just released and we have to wait until some handsome of people get their hands on the folding phone, after that we can come to a conclusion but right now we have to be optimistic about the tech that is still in it's first stages.

Samsung is releasing Galaxy Z Flip with the same clamshell design of Motorola Razr this month, Motorola Razr costs $1499 to buy which seems a bit high concerning the problems of the phone. We haven't also seen much reviews on the product yet from the tech reviewers.
