More than it was expected, coronavirus affected the tech world in a big way, many tech events were canceled and there is no clarity for the upcoming events, as the registered cases and reported deaths of coronavirus were increasing, many companies were concerned about their employees' health and well being.
Among those companies, recently Amazon and Google increased the already implemented travel restrictions on their employees, working in a multi-national tech company, one should have to travel to meet clients and international colleagues to execute company's plans or to oversee the production in other countries, especially at a time when tech conferences and tech events happen at a fast pace.
But during this epidemic of coronavirus, many countries limited flights to some countries. As Covid-19 is an easily transmittable disease, traveling will only worsen the situation, however, that doesn't mean traveling should be restricted until the situation is under control, but it should be limited.
According to the Tech Republic, Amazon asked it's employees to avoid traveling unless it is essential, earlier, Amazon has restricted its employees from traveling to China and also avoided some tech and other events for the sake of employee's well being, employees were also asked to avoid domestic travel.
Google has increased the list of countries that its employees were restricted from traveling, Google employees were now not allowed to travel to South Korea and Japan, earlier, they're restricted to travel to China, Iran and two Italian regions of Lombardy and Veneto.
