As employes have to work from home, many companies are limiting their services to their customers, now Microsoft has temporarily disabled the feature to upload images(gamerpics and club images, etc.) in Xbox to reduce the work strain on its moderators, as they are working from home, there cannot work as efficiently as they could in an office space as they won't get all the resources they need, reported by Engadget.

The job of the moderators in any company or service is to moderate the comments, reviews and multimedia uploads of the users or customers, so, Microsoft has reduced one of the things Xbox moderators have to moderate, because of this, Xbox moderators can focus on other things they have to moderate as the gaming industry has seen a surge in users.

People are choosing video games to pass their free time at home as they are advised to self-quarantine at homes until the C0vid-19 outbreak which turned into a pandemic comes under control, but there is no clarity on when it will happen. even gaming in these tough times seems to have some limitations to enjoy.

Recently Akamai has announced that they are working with popular software companies to reduce the bandwidth of game downloads and updates during peak hours of internet usage, the streaming quality of gaming will also be switched to Standard definition until the internet usage returns to normal.

Microsoft said that this will help "streamline moderation" which will help its moderators to be parallel with the rise in demand for the gaming, many other companies have also limited the content that needed to be moderated, which shows the surge in internet usage as people can't go out.
